Charity High Tea for Breast Cancer Awareness

Since March 2020, as a country we were put on lockdown, slowly moving from level 5 with very strict restriction  on movement to our current state of level 1. During this period, people were confined to their homes and other  places of residence. Whilst the ‘lockdown’ strategy has been vital in holding back the spread of the virus globally,  it is now widely acknowledged to have profound social consequences. We have been forced to revisit the  assumption implicit in the lockdown strategy that homes are safe spaces. Only through unity and the going back  to the ideologies of ubuntu can we fight injustice and move towards a healthier society holistically.  FWI acknowledges that it is through the collective power that we can achieve positive change and we calls on  communities to unite around the importance of cancer screening to help prevent unnecessary loss of life. 1 in 8  women will…
